FAQ

Q. What size wine lockers do you have?

A. Our typical 12 case locker is 3 cases wide, 2 cases deep, and 2 cases high.

Cork Dork lockers are designed for easy access. The doors are wide and the shelves are only two cases deep. In most cases fully half of your cases will be immediately accessible when you open your locker.

Q. What size IS YOUR SOCIAL CLUB?

A. Our private Social Club is 2,000 square ft., featuring a tasting bar, multiple seating areas, a kitchenette, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an expansive view of the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District and the iconic Kansas City skyline.

Q. Can I lease more than one wine locker?

A. Yes. If you pay monthly, all lockers will be charged to your account in a single charge on the first of each month. If you pay annually, you can choose to have different lockers due for payment at different times of the year.

Q. Can you receive wine shipments for me?

A. Yes. We charge $10 per box that is received and we place your shipments in one of our climate controlled lockers.  The member will need to retrieve between the hours 10am-4pm Monday thru Friday.

Q. How do I rent or lease a wine locker?

A. If you are a new client, step one is to contact us. We will reply with detailed information and an offer to provide you a no obligation tour of the wine storage facility that interests you. When you are ready to lease a locker or room, you may complete lease paperwork via e-mailed, or in person.

Q. WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO PROVIDE IN ORDER TO LEASE A WINE LOCKER?

A. We require government issued photo ID for each person that will have access to the wine storage facility. We retain a copy of your photo ID on file.

Q. Do you have handcarts or dollies that I can use?

A. Yes, we provide hand trucks for your free use at all of our facilities.

Q. DO I STORE MY WINE IN BOXES OR LOOSE BOTTLES?

A. You may store your wine any way you wish though we do have some guidelines.

  • We require that you not exceed the stated capacity of your space. For example, if you are stacking loose bottles in a 12 case locker, you may not place more than 144 750ml bottles in your locker. Glass and wine are heavy and your locker and the entire facility has been engineered for certain weight capacities.

  • You are free to install your own portable (ie: removable and not permanently installed) wine racks in your locker.

Q. Can I change the size of my wine locker?

A. Yes, you can do this at any time as long as there are lockers available.

Q. DO YOU PROVIDE LOCKS? DO YOU KEEP A KEY TOO MY WINE LOCKER?

A. We can sell or you can use your own lock. We do not have access to your locker, except under an emergency. Our facility is constructed with steel lockers.

Q. Do I need to give you notice when I move out?

A. Yes, we require 30 days notice prior to your move out. We need this time in order to stop any automatic payments as well as to prepare and coordinate for the next lessee to occupy the locker.

Q. When can I access my wine locker?

A. We offer clients 24/7/365 access unless otherwise noted.

Q. If I rent a wine locker from you, can my spouse or a friend have access, too?

A. Yes, you may name up to one  additional persons that you wish to have access to your locker. Each person must provide valid government photo ID and each person will be issued their own access card (credentials).

Q. Can I rent in person, or on the telephone?

A. While you may complete lease paperwork via e-mail, new clients need to meet a representative in order to choose a locker location and learn of any assigned parking details or delivery details as well as to learn the access points.
